Pakistan clinches the top spot in the Asia Hockey5s WC Qualifiers.

Pakistan hockey team’s final pool match concluded in a thrilling 5-5 draw against Malaysia, they successfully secured the leading position in the Asia Hockey5s WC Qualifiers. The Men in Green, who have maintained an undefeated streak throughout the tournament, currently occupy the top spot on the points table with 13 points.

The Pakistan hockey team has done well in the Asia Hockey5s WC Qualifiers, which is happening in Muscat, Oman. They’ve won all their matches, and even though their last game against Malaysia ended in a 5-5 tie, it didn’t stop them from being in the top spot. Moreover, this is a big deal because it’s been a while since they were the best team in Asia for hockey.

Now, let me tell you a bit about this tournament. It’s a new kind of hockey that’s faster and shorter. Instead of having 11 players on each team, there are only 5 players on the field at a time. The reason they’re playing this tournament is to pick the teams that will go to the very first FIH Hockey5s World Cup, which is going to happen in India in October 2023.

India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Japan, Oman, and Bangladesh are sitting in the Elite pool. However, Hong Kong China, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, and Iran will compete in the Challenger pool.

We Wish Them Good Luck

The Pakistan team is led by a guy named Wasim Feroze, who’s been in the Olympics, and Major Muhammad Shahnawaz Khan is in charge of managing the team. In addition, they’ve got a mix of experienced players and some young talent, and they’re doing great in the tournament.

Their next match is going to be against the winner of the game between India and Bangladesh. Whoever wins that match will go up against Pakistan in the final of the Asia Hockey5s World Cup Qualifiers.

I hope Pakistan keeps winning and gets to go to the FIH Hockey5s World Cup. It would be a huge achievement for the team and the whole country.
