South Asian Singers fires up the stage of Coachella 2023

Ali Sethi and Diljit Dosanjh are among other South Asian singers who perform at Coachella 2023 yesterday. Both singers flares up the stage which made people dance their hearts out despite of language barrier. This is the kind of recognition that will put us on the map.

Coachella Valley is the biggest platform in the music world. Starting in 1999, nobody can ever imagine other than white singers can ever perform on this stage. The festival takes place over two consecutive weekends every April in Indio, California, U.S.A. But it’s 2023, and time is evolving so fast in the progressive direction. Coachella 2023 has some performances last night and the whole social media flared up with hype and excitement.

Ali Sethi made headlines when he announced that he is going to debut at the festival this year. He performed along with Diljit Dosanjh and other South Asian performers. Expectations were high from both of them and they did not disappoint for a second. Sethi’s performance was equally electrifying, as he performed his worldwide viral hit, Pasoori.

Sethi’s performance was greeted with great enthusiasm by the crowd at Coachella, many of whom were hearing Pakistani music for the first time. The artist’s energetic and charismatic stage presence, coupled with his soulful vocals, left a lasting impression on the audience.

Dosanjh chose an all-black outfit for his performance, including a black turban, black sunglasses, and yellow gloves, and his performance was a treat to watch. A video shared on Diljit’s Instagram Stories showed DJ Diplo grooving with his friends at the concert, and fans were proud of the singer.

“Epic!” wrote Alia Bhatt as she shared Dosanjh’s post to her Insta Stories. Kareena Kapoor Khan called the performer an ‘OG,’ and Sonam Kapoor shared that she wished she could have seen the performance live.

These singers are so beloved in their home countries. With their contribution to the international festival, they spread the message of peace and love. Their “Punjabi songs” and “Desi avatar” were enough to groove people all over. Both gentlemen will perform on April 23 as well.
