Shaheen Shah took a Jibe at fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar

Pakistan fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, has taken a cheeky jibe at former pacer, Shoaib Akhtar. Citing his comments about Babar Azam’s English communication skills.

Pakistan pacer Shaheen Shah takes a cheeky jibe at former Pakistani bowler Shoaib Akhtar over the latter’s “you can’t speak” remark about Babar Azam. During an interview, Shaheen Shah was asked about his thoughts and his admiration for the fastest-ever pacer in world cricket. To which he replied that Shoaib Akhtar is good at making brands.

This statement was a clear reference to Akhtar’s previous comments about Babar on a local TV channel. Where he had remarked that the Pakistan captain needed to work on his communication skills to become a brand in world cricket.

Shoaib had previously criticized Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam for his perceived inability to speak well on camera. On a local channel, Rawalpindi Express suggested Azam work on his communication skills. If he is to become a “brand” in world cricket.

“Cricket is one job and handling media is another job. If you can’t speak, I am sorry but you won’t be able to express yourself on the TV. I want to openly say this that Babar Azam should be the biggest brand of Pakistan, but why he hasn’t become the biggest brand in Pakistan? Because he can’t speak,” he said.

Earlier, former Pakistan captain, Shahid Shah Afridi had also taken a jibe at Shoaib Akhtar. During the recently concluded Masters Cricket League in Doha, Qatar.

Afridi remarked that Shoaib should be appointed as the Finance Minister of Pakistan as he knows how to make brands. The friendly banter between the two superstars was revealed in a video uploaded on Shoaib Akhtar’s YouTube channel.

The statement irked the Pakistani cricket fraternity as they reminded Shoaib that a cricketer’s priority is to enhance his skills on the pitch and help their country win matches rather than showcasing their English speaking skills.
