Usman Khan Initiates Contract Termination with ECB

Usman Khan, known for his powerful batting, has taken a significant step in his cricketing career. After a stellar performance in the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL 9), where he scored two centuries and a total of 430 runs for Multan Sultans, Usman has caught the attention of selectors.

Reports reveal that Usman Khan has sent a legal notice to the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) to terminate his contract. With advice from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Usman aims to focus on his future in Pakistan cricket. Reports suggest he had been maintaining communication with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) throughout his stint with UAE cricket.

Usman’s journey in cricket began with Karachi Whites in 2017. However, he later sought opportunities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). He was set to become eligible to play for the UAE cricket team soon and had secured a retainer contract with the ECB.

Last year, Usman played for Gulf Giants in the ILT20 League as a local player. Although he holds a Pakistani passport. Despite this, he participated in the Pakistan Super League as a foreign player, with the necessary permissions from the ECB.
