Israel and Palestinian forces have clashed in the deadliest fighting since 2014, with over 400 people killed, including many civilians. The violence began after a series of Israeli airstrikes in Gaza, which were in response to rocket attacks by Hamas militants. The fighting has also caused widespread damage to infrastructure in Gaza.

The United Nations has called for a ceasefire, but both sides have so far refused to comply. The international community has expressed deep concern over the violence and urged both sides to de-escalate the situation.

The conflict between Israel and Palestine is one of the longest-running and most intractable conflicts in the world. The two sides have been fighting over land and sovereignty for decades, and there is no easy solution to the conflict.

The current fighting is a reminder of the human cost of this conflict. The deaths of hundreds of people, including many civilians, is a tragedy. The international community must do everything it can to bring an end to the violence and help to find a lasting solution to the conflict.

Reactions Of Leaders

‘We are at war,’ Netanyahu told the stunned nation in the morning, after Hamas had launched its multipronged attack at dawn, half a century after the outbreak of the 1973 Arab-Israeli war.

‘I’m telling the people of Gaza: get out of there now, because we’re about to act everywhere with all our force,’ the premier said later. ‘We’ll strike them to the bitter end and avenge with force this black day they brought on Israel and its people.’

Hamas’ armed wing, the Qassam Brigades, stated that their fighters are still engaged in intense clashes in various locations inside Israel, particularly in areas bordering the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army also successfully thwarted an attack on a beach in southern Israel, where naval forces prevented five Hamas militants from reaching Zikim beach.

Hezbollah has claimed responsibility for an attack on Israel, prompting the Israeli army to retaliate with artillery fire over the Lebanese border. The group reported launching a rocket and artillery attack on three posts, including a “radar site” in the Israeli-occupied Shebaa Farms area.
