Shoaib Malik’s altered Instagram bio reignites divorce rumors’ with Sania Mirza. Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik tied the knot in April 2010 and welcomed their son, Izhaan, in October 2018.
The alteration in the Instagram bio of former Pakistan cricket captain, Shoaib Malik, has once more ignited speculations regarding his relationship status with Indian tennis icon, Sania Mirza. This time divorce rumors has a small valid reason.
Over the past year, there have been rumors circulating about divorce between Malik and Mirza, as the couple has not shared any photos or videos of themselves together on social media for a significant period of time, which has raised concerns about the state of their relationship.
Previously, Malik’s bio proudly stated, “Husband to a superwoman @mirzasaniar,” giving an impression of their strong bond. However, the bio now reads, “Father to One True Blessing,” along with other personal information.
Social media users and the media have been quick to interpret this modification as a possible indication of a divorce or separation between the couple.
Shoaib earlier said that their marriage is still strong. He even addressed Sania as his ‘wife’ in an interview. However, his recent actions on the social media are totally opposite which has sparked the separation rumors once again.
Couple’s Stance on these rumors
The two members of the athlete fraternity tied the knot in 2010 and welcomed their son, Izhan Mirza-Malik in 2018. However, after almost 12 years of marriage, their fans speculated Sania and Malik’s relationship had gone sour in November 2022, following some of the events hinting something was not fine between them.
Amid these rumours, the two even hosted a show “The Mirza Malik Show” for a Pakistani streaming platform, while Malik kept insisting there was no such thing and they were just “busy in fulfilling their commitments.“
“Humey saath mey rehna ka time nahi mil raha (We don’t get much time to live together),” Shoaib had said in an interview. He further added, “When they (Sania and Izhan) went to perform Umrah I had commitments here and when I took a break and went to Dubai to spend time with Izhan then she was busy.”
“Everybody needs to understand we belong to different countries and have our own commitments. Neither I released a statement nor did she,” said Malik.
When the media outlets first published reports of the couple getting divorced, neither of them broke their silence to deny or confirm the rumors’. However, some sources said both stars had parted ways after tackling some of their legal issues
