“People tell me I am a great Catch….. So I catch myself” says Kshama Bindu. An Indian’s Gujarat girl who marry herself making breaking news all over India. All wedding rituals will be as per traditions. Moreover, she is going on a 2 weeks honeymoon as well.
News usually came from the West, but now came from a very different region of the world. India is usually known for its traditions and values. Kshama Bindu is a 24-year-old girl, who is a blogger by profession. She is about to marry herself in the glamorous Indian way. A concept of Sologamy or self-marrying is perfect according to her. The girls wedding will take place on June 11, 2022, at Gotri, Vadodara Gujarat.
A wedding will be everything that any Indian wedding has. A Roka to Haldi Rasam to wearing a bright red wedding outfit. She even booked a luxury place to entertain her guests. According to her, she wants to become a bride but does not want a husband. She will apply henna on her hands, and vermillion powder (sindoor) in her hair partition. Along with that, she will take seven sacred Pheras as well. She even wrote five wows to swear during pheras.
Bindu says “Self-marriage is a commitment to being there for yourself, to choosing the livelihood and lifestyle that will help you grow and blossom into the most alive, beautiful, and deeply happy person you can be.
“It’s my way of showing that I’m accepting all the different parts of me, especially the parts of myself that I have tried to deny or disown such as my weaknesses – be they physical, mental or emotional. For me, this marriage is really a deep act of self-acceptance. What I’m trying to say is that I accept myself – all of me, even the parts that don’t look pretty.”
Kshama’s parents and friends accepted her weird self appreciating wish. They all will attend the wedding to bless her with eternal happiness. Moreover, she is going to Goa for two weeks Honeymoon with herself after wedding.
