Police raided PTI leaders and arrested several

Attaullah Tarar, the Punjab government spokesperson, said. ‘No one from Punjab shall take part in Imran Khan’s long march aimed at sabotaging the country’s peace. Fawad Chaudhry, PTI leader, PTI’s information secretary, and former federal minister said police raided the homes of 1,100 party leaders and workers.

A day before the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf planned mega-march to Islamabad to press for early elections. Over 250 activists belonging to PTI arrested in the Punjab province.

While Tarar deny the PTI’s claim that over 1,000 party workers and office-bearers have been arrested in Punjab. He said; a crackdown is underway and more arrests expected.

“Regardless of how the PTI uses fascist tactics to gain power. The Azadi March scheduled to reach Islamabad on Wednesday (tomorrow),” he declared.

PTI leaders in Punjab raided by police, including renowned poet Allama Muhammad Iqbal’s daughter-in-law Justice(R) Nasira Iqbal, lawmakers Hammad Azhar, Usman Dar, Fayyazul Hasan Chohan, Mahmood ur Rashid, Aslam Iqbal, and Shafqat Mahmood.

Roads connecting the federal capital have been block by containers and barricades erected by law enforcement agencies. Including motorways, all roads leading to Islamabad in Punjab have sealed by the police. 

Government sealed the Capital 

It was claim earlier that the coalition government in the Centre would not prevented anyone from joining the PTI protest in Islamabad. However, The police’s action on Monday night contradicts that.
