Zaheer Ahmed approached the Sindh High Court
In the high profile kidnapping case, Dua Zahra's husband Zaheer Ahmed approached the Sindh High Court on Friday to restore his bank accounts and Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC). After mysteriously disappearing from Karachi, Dua made headlines across the country, but later revealed she had run away from home to marry 21-year-old Zaheer Ahmed.
Shabbir and Zaheer filed a petition seeking immediate hearing, which was accepted by the court. Justice Iqbal Kalhoro would preside over a two-member bench hearing the petition.
During their petition, the accused claimed they were facing trial in Karachi and were faced with serious security threats while appearing in court. They asked the Sindh home department and police inspector general for protection.
