India surpassed China in terms of population as well
According to new surveys and research, India is an upcoming superpower in the region in so many fields including population. In some instances it is alarming yet it creates a lot of opportunities for youth to grow and prosper. With big names shifting in India, it might be a massive change in the region.
On New Year’s Day in 2021, nearly 67,000 babies were born across India. The highest number of births was given anywhere in the world that day, according to UNICEF. The record-breaking number also contributed to India’s latest achievement: becoming the world’s most populous country. India's population is increasing by 27 percent per year. India is among the eight countries expected to be responsible for more than half the projected increase in global population upto 2050.
