Hunter Schafer, a famous actor from the TV show Euphoria was arrested during a protest in New York City. The protest was to support people in Gaza, Palestine. This happened right outside the offices of NBCUniversal because President Joe Biden was there for an interview. Hunter and about 30 other people were taken by the police because they were protesting inside the building. They were carrying signs and shouting for peace in Gaza.
Hunter wore a T-shirt saying “CEASE-FIRE NOW” as the police took her away. The protest was organized by a group called Jewish Voice for Peace. They want peace in Gaza and do not agree with some of the actions of Israel and the U.S. government towards Palestine.
Hunter Schafer is a transgender actress, model, and activist. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Jules in “Euphoria,” a role that explores themes of identity, sexuality, and self-discovery. Schafer is also set to appear in the upcoming prequel to “The Hunger Games.”
Chances Of Ceasefire
During his interview, President Biden talked about trying to find a way to make things better in Gaza, mentioning the importance of a cease-fire, especially with the upcoming month of Ramadan. He also talked about his support for Israel and the need for peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.

“I hope by the end of the weekend,” he told reporters after taping the late show interview. “My national security adviser tells me that we’re close. My hope is by next Monday we’ll have a ceasefire.”
Since the start of Israel’s military campaign, which followed the Oct. 7 Hamas terror attack, more than 29,900 people have been killed, over 70,300 have been injured and thousands more are missing and presumed dead in Gaza, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. According to the Israeli military, 576 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the attack — 237 of them since the ground offensive began on Oct. 27. There are also roughly 1.4 million Palestinians who have been displaced and have sought refuge in Rafah, Gaza’s southernmost city.
