NASA is organizing a press event at their headquarters to talk about the results of their own team’s investigation into UFOs, which they started in 2022. People have been curious about this topic for a long time. In the United States, they now use the term “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” (UAP) instead of “UFO.”
NASA is going to share some important information about strange things people have seen flying in the sky on Thursday (today). They’ve been studying these mysterious objects for a while now. These objects used to be called UFOs, but now they’re called UAPs.
A group of 16 researchers looked at the evidence and talked about it in May. They said that the information they have isn’t enough to say for sure what these things are. They think we need to collect better information in a more organized way.
The report coming out on Thursday probably won’t give us a clear answer, but it might start a new mission for NASA. NASA usually looks for signs of life on other planets, but they’ve usually tried to explain away sightings on Earth.
Over 27 years, there have been more than 800 “events” reported. Out of those, only a small percentage seem really strange. These are things that the people who saw them or the machines that recorded them couldn’t understand.

The US government has started to take this seriously because they’re worried that these strange things might be related to spying from other countries. NASA’s research is different from what the Pentagon is doing, but they’re working together on how to use science to figure this out.

In July, a person who used to work for the US government said he believes that the government has information about these strange things and even the remains of the beings that might be connected to them.
Just this week, in Mexico, someone showed what they said were the bodies of beings that are not like humans. They looked grayish and had bodies that were somewhat like ours. This has caused a lot of surprise and discussion online. The person who showed them is a journalist and researcher who has been part of controversial findings before. He says he found these bodies in Peru in 2017.
