Abrar Ahmed is the second Pakistani who took 10 wickets in his test debut

Abrar Ahmed is the newest enrollment to the Test Cricket Team of Pakistan. Abrar Ahmed is a 24-year-old mystery spinner. He announced his arrival at the Test level with a remarkable set of numbers on his debut. This was the only story in town at the end of a hectic opening day in Multan. Babar Azam stayed on the pitch and continuously defied Mark Wood’s deliveries.

Mark Wood’s fastest delivery of the day was at 97 mph. However, Babar Azam stood his ground delivering a commanding 61 not out. Pakistan had closed on 107 for 2 after 28 overs in response to England’s absurd 281 all out after 51.4 overs.

Abrar Ahmad has officially entered his international cricket career with this England versus Pakistan match. Quite Shockingly, he was able to take a wicket at just his fifth ball in a Test match. The young spinner showed England that this match might not be as easy to win. This is because England has been unstoppable in the previous Test Match.

Zak Crawley became Abrar Ahmed’s first-ever international test wicket. Zak handled the first four balls of the ninth over of the day with little difficulty. However, Abrar’s subsequent delivery sped through a gaping gate and into the stumps. The tone for two breathless Test cricket sessions was set by this delivery. England batted according to plan during these sessions, but the good ship “Bazball” continued to take regular hits.

Ben Duckett and Pope had an exciting 10-over stand during which they combined for 63 runs off 49 balls. However, Abrar was continuously studying the batters. Later on, he found a dip in the shots played by Ben Duckett. Ben Duckett overturned an initial LBW decision with the help of a small touch of gloves. However, he was not so lucky the second time and the umpire gave out on review five balls later.

Jacks came after Ben Duckett to Bat. However, he was also trapped LBW sweeping as they undid Stokes propping forward and the googly defeated his defensive shot. Zahid Mahmood took the final three wickets to end the spell at the other end. A more limited player like Jack Leach might have looked to support Wood. However, he was left unbeaten on 36 after smashing eight fours.

Abrar Ahmed expressed his remarks about his first-day performance. He said that people often call him Harry Potter. however, he is not a magician.
