Pop singer and rapper Justin Beiber is in news for another controversy. In an Instagram live session, Justin and Hailey say that ‘Fasting does not make sense to them’. This comment creates a fire on social media. Ayesha Omer is among the other actresses who slam the singer and wife for such derogatory comments.
Earlier this week, a TikTok video made rounds on social media, which showed Canadian pop star Justin Bieber and his supermodel wife Hailey Bieber talking about their view on fasting in Ramazan, which many users took as an offense, including Pakistani actor Ayesha Omer. Justin and Hailey are in hot waters since then.
Upon being asked about his stance on fasting. Justin said, “I gotta really think about that, I have never really done it. I think our bodies need nutrition to think properly.”
Adding to what Justin had to say, Hailey said, “Fasting off food never really made sense to me. If you want fast from the TV, or your phone, I think I believe in that more, but fasting from food never made sense to me. If you are fasting sweets or fasting sugar, that clicks to me.” She then concluded by saying, “We’re totally like yeah, that’s why you are stupid!”

Ayesha Omar’s Instagram story read, “Apart from mental and emotional benefits, the top scientists and doctors in the world are now constantly stressing on the numerous physical health benefits of fasting and time-restricted eating, which include reversing diseases, reversing ageing and cell regeneration. It is ok if they don’t know yet. Instead of shaming them I think someone should enlighten then and send them some reading or viewing material.”
Upset by the celebrity duo’s responses Gauahar, who herself is fasting in the holy month of Ramazan, recently took to her social media platform to criticize Justin and Hailey’s “dumb” comments on fasting, adding that they should “get an education.”
On Friday, the Big Boss star shared a screenshot of the TikTok video on her Instagram Story. “Just proves how dumb they are. Only if they knew about the science behind it. And the health benefits from it! Get an education,” she wrote while tagging Justin and Hailey’s Instagram handles. “It’s okay to have an opinion. But, be intelligent enough to put them forth correctly,” concluded Gauahar.
